Rahu (north lunar node)
For Rahu dasha, confusion and sudden upheaval
Rahu is the shadow planet of desire, illusion and the unexpected. In a strong position it can lift a person quickly; when afflicted it brings confusion, restlessness, fears without a clear cause and sudden turns of fortune.
The Rahu Raksha Kavach carries the classical Rahu Yantra, traditionally kept to steady the mind, see through illusion and guard against the sudden upheavals Rahu is known for.
Clarity
Traditionally kept to clear confusion and see situations as they are.
Protection
A classical guard against sudden upheaval and unseen opposition.
Calm
A steadying presence through restless or uncertain periods.
The yantra, decoded
Every line has a meaning

Around the rim: beej mantra
ॐ भ्रां भ्रीं भ्रौं सः राहवे नमः
Om Bhraam Bhreem Bhraum Sah Rahave Namah
Inner band: planet mantra
ॐ रां राहवे नमः
Om Raam Rahave Namah
The double lotus
An eight petal lotus (ashtadal) within a sixteen petal lotus (shodashdal) encloses the centre, the traditional seat of the deity in a yantra and a symbol of purity rising above circumstance.
The number square
The planet's own yantra square. Every row, column and diagonal adds up to 36, a balance the tradition holds sacred to Rahu.
Who is it for
Traditionally recommended
- When Rahu is causing hindrance in progress
- Rahu placed in the 1st, 5th, 7th, 8th or 12th house of the birth chart
- During Rahu Mahadasha or Antardasha
- Those with Kaal Sarp yoga in the birth chart
- When Rahu is conjunct the Moon or Sun (Grahan yoga), or Jupiter (Guru Chandal yoga)
- In phases of confusion, anxiety or poor judgement
- Anyone facing sudden setbacks or hidden opposition
As a natural malefic, Rahu usually gives good results in the 3rd, 6th and 11th houses, so a placement there is rarely a cause for concern.

Questions
Frequently asked
Should Rahu and Ketu kavach be kept together?
Rahu and Ketu are always exactly opposite each other in a chart, so they act as a pair. Many people keep both, particularly for Kaal Sarp yoga. Your chart decides whether one or both is right for you.
What is the kavach made of?
Premium brass with a golden finish. The yantra is precision etched into the face, so the design does not peel, fade or rub off the way printed or plated designs can.
What does energization include?
Before dispatch the kavach is purified and consecrated (Pran Pratishtha) with the planet’s mantra and the prescribed ritual, on a day suited to that planet. It is optional and adds ₹1,100: choose it on the product page, or leave it off if you prefer to have the kavach consecrated yourself.
How do I keep or carry it?
Most people keep it in their puja space, on a clean cloth, facing east or north. It can also be carried in a wallet, purse or bag, or kept in a work desk or locker. Keep it away from footwear and impure places, and treat it with respect.
How long does delivery take?
Each kavach is dispatched within 3 to 5 business days, after energization if you choose it. Shipping is free anywhere in India, with tracking shared by email.
Do you ship outside India?
Not at the moment. Online orders ship within India only. If you live abroad, please contact us and we will try to help.
Will a kavach replace my efforts or other treatment?
No. A kavach is a traditional spiritual support and a daily reminder of discipline and faith. It works alongside your own effort, and never in place of medical, legal or financial advice.
A kavach is a traditional spiritual support. It complements, and never replaces, your own effort or professional advice.
